Immaturus witing group is a space for you who is a writer, want to write or wish to write, and is looking for a place to share all your weird thoughts. At The Writing Group you find an established group with people who love to write and dive into texts.
No matter if you love lyrics, drama, chick flick romance or sarcastic comments to people who don`t understand how amazing you are, you will find equals who are looking forward to the next time you have something to share with us.
We meet once a week for a two hours long meeting at Det Akademiske Kvarter where everyone who meets up gets a chance to share something they have written and get feedback from the group. If you haven`t written anything and just wish to listen a couple of times, it`s also allowed. We try to create a safe and productive atmosphere with positive feedback, but at the same time we allow for criticism of the constructive kind.
In addition to the weekly meetings The Writing Group arranges Poesiaften (Poetry Night) once a month where both the group’s members as well as others gets the chance to share their writings for an enthusiastic audience.

Have you seen Pitch Perfect? Or Hairspray? Book of Mormon? To suddenly burst into song might not be the most natural thing to do in real life, but on stage everything is aloud!
If you as us wish to do ensemble singing next to studying, and also make the musical genre more familiar in the student environment in Bergen, join Immaturus music theatre group!
We felt like this was something missing at Immaturus, and wished to create a group where that focuses on ensemble singing. We are also thinking about that the group should work towards one or more performances at Åpen Scene // Åpent Rom (Open Stage // Open Room), which happens three times during one semester.
This semester we have also thought we would do a cabaret show with a specific theme. There will be hold auditions at the beginning of the semester, where we seek both boys and girls to join.

Immaturus Dungeons & Dragons group is going into its fifth semester, and we open for more and more varied games. With at least two groups and a live show we want to welcome more people to join and have fun with role playing.
Dungeons and Dragons originates from the 70s, and is a based on a thought that everything is allowed... as long as the game leader allows it. We encourage creativity, fun, but also a certain degree of seriousness - remember that your actions have consequences! We explore themes like character making, vocalization, treatment of meta information, freedom with limits and last but not least, fun!

Bergen ImproBattle is our hilarious impro show. At the top floor at Det Akademiske Kvarter you will find Storelogen, where you on particular Wednesdays can find thrilling premieres that will never be shown again! Here, you will laugh, and you will see a composition of experienced improvisors and brand new battlers on stage.
The night begins at 18:00 with a work shop in improviastion that everybody can attend. At 20:00 the doors will open for the audience. The work shop attenders choose if they want to join the show. Of course, we recommend stage presence and memories for life, but if the stage fright gets to great (even if the threshold is low!) the ones who attend the work shop can watch the show for free.
The show is based on that two teams are competing about performing the best show with a given theme. Everything is improvised - often the audience helps by giving the teams a place and a theme etc. After both teams have unfolded in a theme, the audience decides which show they liked the best.
Just 50 kr to get in - we promise it`s worth it!

Tuesday Impro is the group that fits for both brand new and experienced improvisors. There is no requirement of having played theatre befrore or having any stage experience. At this course we will work with the basics in improvisation, like play, spontaneity and cooperation. You will also learn a range of improv games and other approaches to improvise together.
The goal with this group is that everyone can feel a little tougher and safer is improvisors, and to get there we will work with dealing with the challenges impro often offers. Impro can be difficult, but that doesn`t make it less fun! At Tuesday Impro you are allowed to make a fool of yourself. I would actually state that it is recommended.

At this course we experience impro-theatre in a longer format. This means improvisation in a series of scenes, and to make a full show based on only one or a few suggestions at the beginning of the show.
This semester our goal is to try a new more story-based format, Superscene, in addition to working more with the chaotic Harold where the goal is to find, or not find (!) a red line. The most important thing is to have fun and try out something new!
